Job Description:
A company is looking for an Emergency Department and Urgent Care
Professional Coder.
Key Responsibilities
Accurately code medical records for urgent care and emergency room
services
Follow current ICD-10 and CPT coding guidelines and apply modifiers
as appropriate
Maintain confidentiality of protected health information and meet
department production and quality standards
Required Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of coding experience in emergency department and
urgent care
Certification such as CPC, CEDC, CCS, CCS-P, RHIT, or RHIA
Extensive knowledge of modifier application and coding
guidelines
Strong knowledge of Cerner and Epic systems
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
effectively
