Job Description:
A company is looking for a Staff Attorney for its Expungement
Program.
Key Responsibilities
Represent individuals seeking to have their arrest or criminal
histories sealed or expunged in District of Columbia Superior
Court
Review client expungement motions for compliance with District of
Columbia expungement rules
Conduct client interviews, determine eligibility, and draft and
file relevant motions
Required Qualifications
Knowledge of the District of Columbia expungement rules
Criminal litigation experience and/or public defender experience is
highly desirable
Experience representing individuals from diverse backgrounds and
marginalized communities
Must be a member of the District of Columbia bar
Ability to work remotely on a contract basis for approximately 3 -
6 months
