Job Title: Android developer
Length:  Direct Hire
Location: Oak Park, Chicago
 
Responsibilities:
1) Working on a team collaborating and be extensively content driven
2) Understanding the strengths and weaknesses of information security related to Android applications
3) Always monitor the state of the mobile security industry with a drive towards innovation
 
Education and Experience
 
1) 4+ general development experience with at least 3 year developing mobile applications
2) 2+ years of hand-on experience developing in Android for Java
3) Deep knowledge of Android ecosystem and successful track record of launching Android apps
 
Key Skills
• Experience with Android NDK development
• Familiar with SVN and Git
• Strong understanding of JavaScript, HTML5, XML/JSON and web services
• Knowledge of and experience with Android UI/UX guidelines
• Demonstrable Java fundamentals, including a solid working knowledge of core development frameworks for both platforms required.
• Mobile application architecture and design experience on the Android platform required.
• Broad general exposure to and experience with open source technologies, tools, and frameworks that facilitate development for the Android ecosystem.
• Experience with collaborative design, development, and documentation of RESTful API’s required. Experience consuming internal and third party RESTful API’s required.
• Familiarity with Google Play Store application deployment tools and infrastructure a strong plus.
• Experience developing push notifications, cursor library, and caching within Android frameworks is a strong plus.
• Experience developing server-side Java services / external integrations is a strong plus.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies is desired.
